"If you have a
question for me, enter this room.
It exists just for us. A place for
you to come to ask me whatever you
wish. A chance for us to get closer.
Share your thoughts, tell me your

Dear Candice
I have just received my copy of Secret
Voyage. I love your lyrics. It
is one of your best. And it has so many
renaissance and gypsy
influences. II am so glad that Blackmore's
Night is still producing
such thoughtful, well made music. You are an
island of hope and shining
splendour in what is largely a sea of
mediocrity. Please don't give up!
The last track is beautiful, though so sad
sounding. What was your
inspiration?
Living in Osaka Japan I have not had much
chance to see you in concert
because you rarely visit. Why is that that
you don't come to Japan
these days?
I will be in Germany doing a Reiki course
this September, but alas,
your concert on September 5 is too far for
me to travel from Cologne!
I hope that one day, I will be in the same
place as you when you are
giving a concert!
Thank you for your beautiful work.
David
Dear David,
Inspiration comes from so many places for
me. Fears, thoughts, dreams,
things that I have experienced -or hope
never to- or seen others go
through.
I do a lot of work fighting the system where
I live locally to try to
save animals and restore some sanity to this
area, but sometimes
dealing with those that can make a
difference and are in the position
to help falls upon deaf ears and it is heart
breaking to see that
people elected to represent the people don't
really care about making a
difference or helping. They are happy to
ride tax dollars and sit in a
comfy office and promise you things that
never happen. So, it fills me
with despair sometimes. And songwriting is
always a great outlet. Then
the writing heals me and I am strong enough
to fight on the side of
right once again.
We have been watching the devestation in
Japan and pray that you and
your family are safe.
Our thoughts are with you...
Love and light,
Candice
Hello Candice,
Please excuse my use of your first name. I
am embarrassed to say that
I have only become aware of your music
recently although I have been
aware and enjoyed Mr. Blackmore's music for
over 25 years. I wanted
to know if you were having any upcoming US
tours? My wife had a heart
transplant 1.5 years ago and is doing well,
G-d willing. We would
love to hear you live and see your angelic
face. Safe and pleasant
journies.
Tinna & Jeff of NYC
Hello dear Jeff and
Tinna,
I am so glad to hear that she is doing well!
Knocking wood as I type...
I am so pleased that you have discovered us
and our world...
We are actually playing 2 NY dates this
year. 1 on Long Island, the
other in Tarrytown where we got married.
There is a brilliant castle
there where we exchanged vows. Its also the
town next to Sleepy Hollow
so there is a lot of history and legend. And
we also found that there
is a vortex right in the Hudson Valley.
Hmmm...legends, magic AND a
castle? Perfect for us! All tourdates on our
website now at
www.blackmoresnight.com and our
facebook pages too....
Hope you can make it and love to your
wife...

Hi
Candice.......Big fan here on the
air......1975 I was ten years old
and already a major music fan.........I
knew that it would be the
guiding force in my life.......My
earliest memories where of driving in
my Daddy's Car
to...........Wherever..........It could
have been to the
store at two in the morning to buy stuff
for breakfast, or a road trip
to Courtland/Ithica to see
cousins.......Or Idaho or Montana in the
summers to see more relatives.......I
always liked it best when it was
just me and him........Driving up to
northern MI to some tiny town on
Lake MI, or even Canada many times just
fer' the heck of
it......;.Daddy always had the radio on
and everytime one station would
fade out we would look until another on
showed up, and we would start
anew singing all our favorites, which at
the the time was stuff like
Country Roads by John Denver or
Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen
Campbell.......Until one Day.......It
was in upstate NY, that i know
for sure.....Man On The Silver
Mountain........The feelings and visions
that washed across me are undescribible........How
BIG this world i
lived in really is........Ever since
then Ritchie has been the biggest
influence i can think of ( i lost my
Daddy a few years later to cancer
and have been pretty much on my own ever
since )............The few
times i was able to actually see Rainbow
or Deep Purple are among the
best times i can remember ( believe You
Me i have seen alot of shows in
my time on Earth).......A few years back
i was living in California and
had kind of fallen out of touch ( lost
faith in new music?????) with
what was happening musically.......Then
i found Shadow of The
Moon.....Once again my world opened up
and i could see The Universe
shining through with an unbeleivable
light.........Ever since then I
have had a better life because of
Blackmore's Night..........Brings me
to my point.......I can't just jet set
anywhere to see ya'll
play........When are you going to tour
america with any desire to reach
folks that can't just pop off
overseas????? You have more fans here
than you think you do........What about
a summer tour with a traveling
Faire??? Can You See it???? I can and i
have hope in my
Heart.............
Peace......
Circlesandrings.......
Hello,
What wonderful memories you have! It is
a special gift to have had such
an incredible relationship with your
father. Its funny how something so
simple like a simple drive for a few
minutes or a few hours can wind up
being some of the best memories you have
to reflect on. The simple
things are always the best ones....
I'm sure your Dad is smiling on you
now....
Great news...yes we are playing a few
dates in the USA. Now, it sounds
like you have been many places, so I'm
not sure where you wound up or
if you're a gypsy spirit like me and
still looking forward to that next
road trip. But if you spend time in the
northeast, chances are we're
playing somewhere around you're area!
Tour dates are on
www.blackmoresnight.com on the
tour page
so check in there
to see which dates are confirmed.
Thank you for your wonderful words and I
am so glad that you discovered
us and that we made a difference for
you.
A faire tour would be wonderful and we
have wondered for many years how
we could make the logistics work. Some
faires won't allow electric to
be used so we wouldn't be able to use
amps at them. But if we could
find the faires that bend a bit for the
modern day (I mean, they all
accept plastic credit cards, don't they?
That's pretty modern :) ) then
it would be a matter of finding out how
to make everything else work
together... Ah, well, someday perhaps.
Until then, we will be in the
theaters with an occasional impromptu
performance when we visit the
faires for fun and on our own time...
Love and light,
Candice
Hi Candice.
My name is Pasquale, I am from Islip
Terrace, NY I know You know where that is
lol...I can't believe what I discovered
today, I downloaded Pandora internet radio
on my iphone. I typed in one of my favorite
bands Renaissance in the search, after they
played Running Hard, on the next song. I
heard a very Beautiful, Enchanting
Voice......I said to myself while I was
driving "did Renaissance get back together
without Annie?? Sacrilegious!!! , Then I
looked at my iphones Display image and saw
Blackmore's Night, First thing that came to
my mind was Riche Blackmore ??? Smoke on the
Water Blackmore? I just continued to listen,
I can't even tell you which song it
was....It was just so beautiful.
When I got home, the first thing I did was
run to my PC and goggled Blackmore's Night
that was 5:00 PM. It is now Midnight and I
am still listening to your wonderful Voice
and Richie's Guitar...To Top it off your
from Hauppauge, (I used to shop at comp usa
there all the time off 347!!!!) and you got
married at the Castle in Tarrytown!!!, I had
lunch there, and you wrote a song about the
old mill inn, I have been there also. and
You're so beautiful and Talented, Sir
Richard is a very Lucky man indeed!!!
I'm glad you went to that soccer game
because you guys really do make beautiful
music together. So in the last 7 hours I have
gotten to know you guys fairly well, I can't
wait to see you in concert though I would
really need encouragement to get dressed in
medieval clothing lol.
Are you guys going to play Long Island?? I
hope so...or at least somewhere near here.
Well I need to go to iTunes, tonight you're
going to sell 10 more CD's and I know what
music my iphone will be playing in the Van
everyday from now on while I Run my service
calls!!!
God Bless You and Richie as they say in
Italian "Cento Anni"!!
Love Pasquale.
Hello Pasquale,
OK here's one more strange coincidence for
you. On that fated soccer field over 20
years ago was a man who became very close
friends of ours. We have known him and his
beautiful wife since that day. They are
originally from Italy and have a son named
Pasquale. He now plays soccer in England-
but he's the only other Pasquale I know.
"Grazie" for all of the kind words and you
will be pleased to know that we are doing a
very small but very special show close to
home. It will be on May 22nd in Bayshore at
the Bolton Theater. Ticket info is on their
website and blackmoresnight.com as well as
our facebook and twitter pages. Now as far
as dressing up, all I can say to convince
you is that I have heard many people say
that they thought about dressing up only to
chicken out at the last minute and then
arrive at the venue to see that so many
people were in costume that they regretted
not wearing one as well! It adds to the fun
and makes you "one of us". So, loosen up,
grab a pair o' tights or whatever costume
you can find at Ronjo's in Pt Jefferson or
LI Costume on Motor Parkway and prepare to
be welcomed to another world...
Love and light,
Candice
