Dearest Candice,
it is truly wonderful that you have a website
that you use as a tool to
reach out to your fans. The fact that you
actually take the time to read and
respond to the emails, demonstrates what
a truly wonderful person you are. I have
been a fan of Blackmore's Night since the
release of your first CD. I have been doing
medieval re-enacting now for 12 years. It
is the time period I truly love. I am in
the Army and I lived in Wiesbaden, Germany
for 3 years. It is truly magical and romantic
there. When I found out about Blackmore's
Night holding concerts at castles in Germany,
I was totally enamored with the idea of
viewing your concert in such a setting.
I left in 1998 and when time allows for
a vacation, I will definately catch one
of your European concerts. Until then, I
have been anxiously waiting to attend your
show in the States. I had tickets for the
17 Sep 2004 show on Long Island, where I
live now in Garden City. Unfortunately I
was deployed to Iraq in August of 2004 and
I had to miss the event. I am finally coming
home in October 2005 and I am very happy
to say I have tickets to see your Dec 8
show! I can not wait and of course I will
be attending in medieval garb, I wouldn't
have it any other way. I truly look forward
to seeing the performance on what I believe
will be a
very magical evening. It definately will
be for me. The wait will be well
worth it! I will see you there.
Yours truly,
Allen Joyner
Dear Allen,
Thank you for your kind words, but what
I am doing is nothing in comparision
to what you do. I just want to thank you
and all of those who are in Iraq fighting
for us, for our country , for our freedom...you
are true heroes. You
have our total and complete support...and
I am looking forward to your coming to our
show in December. Until then, stay safe,
know that we are beside you and thinking
of you, of all of you over there... and
thank you so much for all that you have
done, are doing and continue to do....you
are amazing...
We love you!!!!
Always,
Candice
Hi Candice!!!
I'm from Mexico, I'm a Deep Purple fan and
I like Blackmore's Night. Great band, great
guitar and GREAT VOICE!!! I fell in love
with your voice.
When do you going to tour in America?
Hola mi amigo!
Thank you for your compliments...I have
never been to Mexico...except for a 5 minute
shopping spree at Tijuana once a long time
ago when I was working as a model in San
Diego. I would love to visit your country...
But to answer your question, we are playing
a few holiday shows in the North East during
December of this year. They will be holiday
shows so as well as playing the songs off
of our albums we will also be doing our
song Christmas Eve, as well as some of the
other holiday favorites that we know so
well. Perhaps if you come to NYC for the
holdiay season...my favorite place to spend
that time of year...you will come to our
show? There is something about Manhattan
and December. The smell of chestnuts from
the vendors, the shop windows, the snow
and horse and carriage rides, and the tree
at Rockefeller Center with everyone ice
skating beneath those colored lights. A
truly magical time. Hope to see you there...
More information on our shows can be found
here.
Love and light,
Candice
Dear Candice;
ur voice like a silk dress under the full
moon and Ritchie's guitar like a wind inside
the forest. i fly fly away.. i have to ask
one question. im a solitary and i wanna
learn disciples about a coven. im only a
beginner for these things. i live in turkey
but my homeland ireland ... will u come
to turkey? and can u show me the path of
the light?
thanks for all u made in this world
Bless and Light...
CronoS...
Dear CronoS,
We have visited you not too long ago at
the 7 Towers...Yedikule was where we played
in Istanbul. It isn't in the cards to return
this year...perhaps next? Or if you visit
your homeland, we will be playing nearer
to Ireland this year. We bring our music
to England and Scotland in October. Perhaps
you will visit home and skip over to see
a show or two?
As far as the path of light is concerned....that
one's easy. Look inside. You will find all
the answers and the path there. I promise...
Much love and light to you,
Candice
Hello. (Excuse my
english)
My name is Julie, and I'm a big fan of you
and Blackmore's Night. You play music that
goes straight to my heart, and I love dancing
to it. I come from Norway, and it took a
while before I heard of you, but I'm really
happy I did. My biggest dream is to go back
many years in time, but that is not possible.
I get really happy when I read about past
times, but also very sad because it's never
coming back. I hate TV, cellphones and all
the other stupid, modern stuff. Except the
Cd-player=P I'm really happy I live where
I live, surrounded by huge, white mountains
and deep forests. Las summer I visited Scotland,
and it was the greatest experience I've
ever had.
Bit funny, everyone look weird at me at
school, just because I wear different clothes
than them.
I design my clothes myself, inspired by
the middle age, the vikings and the renaissance.
Where do you get those lovely dresses from?
They're so gorgeous!
Hope you can come and play in Norway soon,
don't know if you've been here before(?)
Yours Truly,
~Julie~
(By the way, when I have a child, I plan
to call her after your song Loreley. It's
a beautiful name. and the song's fantastic
too)
Dear Julie,
It sounds to me like you live in a very
beautiful place, both physically and spiritually.
Keep seeing the beauty that is all around
you and within you...may you never lose
sight of it. It is a gift to appreciate
the things that you mention in your email.
I feel that we are very similar beings.
Try to ignore those who do not yet understand,
in your school. Some people are not ready
yet and may not be ready in this whole life
time. Perhaps in the next they will understand
more. It is up to us, the old souls, to
understand the fact that they are not ready
and be drawn to those who do understand,
do appreciate, there are many out here.
They present themselves as time goes on.
The ones who will enjoy and appreciate your
white mountains and deep forests. Your words
to describe them are so visual, perfect.
Your english is excellent!
I think it is so great that you are designing
your own dresses. What a great passion and
past time. I am not so talented with a sewing
machine or needle and thread. I wish I were.
I put my dresses together from items I pick
up in various places. Different stores and
renaissance faires. I put them together
to make them individual. My style, my own.
Everyone should celebrate their own personality
and individuality in their thoughts, their
way of dress, everything ...never try to
fit in to a neat little box to make others
comfortable. I'm glad that you like my dresses...its
taken quite a while to piece them together!
We have been to Norway and played Bergen,
Hell, Oslo...many places in your beautiful
country. We even travelled by a boat through
the fjords to get to one show...magnificent!
This year we will be returning to you on
October 21, 2005 in Oslo at the Scentrum
Scene.
Tickets go on sale on September 5 through
www.billetservice.no
It is general admission - and they will
hold the 2 first rows for people in costumes.
Loreley is one of my favorite names too...as
well as Ariel... Besides Loreley being such
a strong legend of the Rhine it was also
one of my favorite Marilyn Monroe characters.
She played Lorelei Lee in a movie once...
I fell in love with the name the 1st moment
I heard it.
Hope to see you in Norway!
Love and light,
Candice
Dear Candice,
The DVD will also be released here in Brazil,
where Blackmore´s Night has a lot of
fans. You forgot that on your june 2005 post!
You named the other countries, but us! :P
I can´t barely wait for the release
date! I might import it, who knows hehe
Most of the DVD players here don´t have
that PAL format issue.
Good vibrations for you and Ritchie!
From your faithful fan,
Bernardo Pabst
Hello Bernardo,
You are correct- I am sorry. I didn't mean
to leave you out... I simply meant that those
countries that have NTSC would be released
at relatively the same time and those countries
that have PAL would be released around the
same time. Imagine if I had to list every
country around the world that carried either
PAL or NTSC formats! There would be no room
for anything else on the news page! :) I think
of Brazil often, and you...our fans who live
there... One of my favorite memories was in
Curitiba when Ritchie performed there with
Rainbow. I remember going to an animal sanctuary
where there were tapiers that, when you pet
their sides would roll over on their backs
so that you could rub their bellies! And monkeys
swinging through the trees overhead... all
animals that had been taken from illegal importers
and confiscated at the customs point and brought
to this Sanctuary for rehabilitation. It was
so wonderful to see the work that was being
done by such well meaning, good hearted and
dedicated people...
But it broke my heart to think of what these
poor animals have gone through...
I hope to come and visit Brazil again someday
soon...its been too long...
Enjoy Castles and Dreams when it comes out!!
It should be around October...
Much love,
Candice
