Hi, my name is Ruby and
I am 11 years old. I live in the USA, near
Montgomery, Alabama. Will you be performing
anywhere near here soon?
There is a Renaissance festival called the
Georgia Renaissance Festival
near Atlanta that seems like the kind of
place you would enjoy playing
in. It is not very big, and there are lots
of Renaissance costumes
there like you wear for concerts.
I noticed some things recently that are kind
of cool. One of
them is you got married on my ninth
birthday! Also, my best friend’s
mom’s name is Candice, and her little
sister’s name is Autumn. And,
mine and my mom’s initials are the same as
yours and Blackmore’s. When
will Autumn Sky be available in the USA? I
love your music so much I
taut myself how play the voice part and the
violin part of Morning
Star on the violin.
Ruby
Hi Ruby!
That's a beautiful name and I like your
photo! You look like you could
be my little sister! We are working on
putting a tour of a section of
the USA together right now. We have to check
availabilities of the
venues, the routing, the schedules for band
and crew and many other
factors before we can book the tour. We
should have confirmation later
this week about which states we will be
playing this time around. When
we do we will post the dates on
Blackmoresnight.com on the
tour dates
page so you can see them and all the
information you need to get any
tickets. I actually know about the Georgia
Renaissance Faire because
one year Ritchie asked me what I wanted to
do for my birthday so I told
him "To go to a Renaissance Faire with some
of our friends!" There
weren't a lot of faires that were a short
plane ride on on May 8th but
Georgia was one of the ones that was open.
So we took some friends and
went there for the weekend. It was a great
birthday and a wonderful
faire to visit. If you enjoy faires here is
a great database so you
know which ones are open at any time of year

That's pretty interesting about all the
coincidences between us...not
that I believe in coincidence... :)
Autumn Sky is available now. It was released
on Jan 18th so you should
be able to get it in all the major music
stores by you or by
amazon.com
if you want to order online.
Morning Star is a difficult piece for
violin. The girl who played it on
the recording is Miri Ben Ari and she
studied with Issac Stern. But I
bet she and Gypsy Rose would both be very
impressed that you can play
that part at 11 years old! Great work...
I'll post your picture in the
Fan Faire page on
blackmoresnight.com.
Love and light,
Candice
Warm Greetings to the
Blackmore Family:
I have a stupid question for you, you might
not be into Crowley, and you are into
mediums, so is it wise to ask are you into
either Necromancy or The Craft of the Wise.
One thought is the pentacle (pentagram
inside the circle) would be a wiser move.
and if it harm none so mote it be.
I hate to be so blatant, almost rude in the
question, but it nags me.
May the teachings of the Eternal Balance
guide you to follow your life cord to your
detsination, may Ki’s Blessings guide you on
your journey and the deer’s deer and the
horses’ horse.
Cheers,
-Kerry.
Hello Kerry,
I suppose we are believers of all of what
you mention, and yet not followers of any.
We tend to find our own path, musical, life
source, spiritual, and more through our
seeking and striving, to feel and understand
our everyday world and the worlds beyond. We
have done much communication with other
realms and now tend to continue on that path
not only through divination but through
music which opens a very spiritual door for
us. Nature and music tend to be what might
be termed as almost a religious path for us
these days.
I hope this puts your spirit at rest a bit
and you are able to find some peace of mind
in the answer.

Hi Candice
My name is Craig from Southern
California, I am in mid 40's and I too
have music in the blood and played drums
for 20+ years. Started to play around
1972/73 and some music business jobs
too. Of course listening to Deep Purple
and Rainbow with Ronnie James Dio( I
used to work at his Management company
and my childhood friend dose currently).
And with Joe Lynn Turner. I saw them at
Long Beach during Bent out of Shape tour
1983 tour and have Right Between the
Eyes on VHS from Japan. Richie is also
huge influence.... I started to watch
and listen to Blackmore's night today on
You Tube and rare interviews with
Richie. WOW!!! the music and you ladies
are beautiful. Oh Richie doesn't age
either.
I want to visit UK and Ireland again
personally and get away from here. I
have always has interest in the history,
culture and people
Now my question is will you tour the
US?? Unfortunate commercial radio won't
play Blackmore's night music and if you
people could get you shown on PBS??
Cheers
Hi Craig,
So you have quite a history with
Ritchie's works...ahhh don't we all?
Yes, its true, Ritchie doesn't age.
Apparently I make him younger, and he
ages me so we're bound to meet somewhere
in the middle soon...
The UK is an incredible place to visit.
There are more magical places there than
anywhere I have seen. Stonehenge, Mother
Shiptons Caves, the White Horses and the
Mounds, Avebury, Glastonbury, the list
goes on and on... And, if you get to
Ireland, make sure to stop by Johnny
Foxes for a drink! We will probably be
playing dates in the UK later this year
so perhaps you should take a vacation
there and see a show!
Yes, commercial radio won't play us, we
don't fit between Lady Gaga and Justin
Bieber, so where to put our style of
music? Hmmm....lucky for us the internet
exists! We did do a PBS special that was
carried nationwide a few years back.
These days its mostly NPR and college
stations that play us, and an occasional
satellite station. I'm glad you found
us! Welcome to the Blackmore's Night
family....
Love and light,
Candice
Greetings My name is
Mira.
I am 22 years old history student from Finland. Iīve been interested in
myths and fairytales ever since I was a
little girl, and When I first heard your
music some years ago, it was a true
experience for me. I had never heard
anything like it before. There was something
so magical and enchanting about it, and I
felt as if I had just found something I
didnīt even know I was looking for. Been a
huge fan ever since! :) I was thrilled when
your visited my country during the Secret
Voyage tour some years ago. I was fortunate
enough to see your concert in Tampere and it
really made my summer. I was supposed to go
with my sister, but poor thing couldnīt come
after all... Now we are both eagerly waiting
for the day that would bring you back to
Finland someday. :) Iīve always wanted to
ask if you have a favorite song (lyricswise)
among those of your own? I love songwriting
myself, and your lyrics have been a great
source of inspiration for me. Iīve always
admired the way you seem to be able to
"create worlds" with just a few words. Those
songs of yours, they always take me
somewhere. And then, last but not least,Iīd
like to say, from the deepest bottom of my
heart, that I am very taken by the fact you
are actually answering these emails. I know
you must be very busy and I dare say most
people just wouldnīt bother. It is small
things like this that really make us all
feel how you appreciate your fans and are
truly interested in them. Thank you for
that, and thank you for constantly filling
my days with light. :) Love, Mira
Hello Mira,
What a beautiful
letter. Thank you for writing, for your kind
words and for understanding that other
worldly magical realm that I write about and
try to live in as much as I possibly can...
I am so pleased that you see the "work" put
into the lyrics...I do love writing them and
sometimes feels so transported when I am
doing so that I lose all sense of time and
place, just escaping into this other world.
What I see, feel, sense, dream all appearing
before me as it gets put on paper and set to
music and springs to life before my eyes and
ears...somewhere deep within my mind and
soul this place exists.
It is hard to choose favorite songs as I
suppose it would be like choosing a favorite
child. But there are some songs that were
more of a struggle to write (my "difficult"
children, I love them no less for that as
the struggle made me pull and discover even
deeper!) and some songs just seem to write
themselves. As a lover of strong visuals and
story/songs some of my favorites are Hanging
Tree, Windmills, Fools Gold, The Circle,
Spirit of the Sea and now Darkness...
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed
writing them....
Love and light,
Candice
