Dear Candice:
First of course a very happy birthday wish
to you. Enjoy your day and we wish you many
more to come. We also congratulate you on
your recent wedding. Kaye and I are getting
married on July 11th and are close to
finalizing the last few details. Your music
has been an important part of our romance.
On our second date I had her play “all
because of you” she became an instant fan of
Blackmore’s Night. Since music is so
important to both of us much thought has
gone into the music for the wedding. The
wedding march was first going to be “Durch
Den Wald Zum Bach Haus” till we pick up
Beyond The Sunset it will now be “God Save
The Keg”. An odd title for a wedding march
but it is such a perfect arrangement to walk
down the isle to. The other song will still
play as guests are seated. After the
ceremony and I kiss the bride we will exit
to “All Because of You”. Our first dance
will be to Van Morrison’s Someone Like You.
We caught you show last year in Raleigh, NC.
This was her first time seeing Ritchie, I
have been a fan of Ritchie for a very long
time. We truly loved it, I so enjoy seeing
and hearing this side of Ritchie’s playing.
To go into detail of how his music has
impacted my life would take forever. My son
Ian will be the best man at our wedding, Ian
is named after Ian Gillan and Paice. As I
said I could go on for a long time about all
the music and phases of Ritchie Blackmore,
but today is your day. So I will close with
another birthday wish to you. Raise your
glass and toast the days gone by and those
to come. Embrace each day and enjoy the love

I was the
Blackmore's Night concert in Stockholm, 3
June 2008 - which was my birthday :) It was
lovely! I went with my good friend Tina. We
had dressed in medieval clothes. Thank you
for the magical concert!

Dear Candice,
I just wanted to wish you a very Happy
Birthday!!
I've been a fan of Blackmore's Night since I
heard the title track of 'Shadow of the
Moon' playing in a New Age shop I was
visiting in Shrewsbury. I love your work &
the unique way you combine medieval & modern
instruments & music in it. You put so much
energy & passion into your work & you
obviously love what you are doing.
I live in a 400+year old farm house in rural
Wales & I was lucky enough to get tickets to
see your concert at York opera house a
couple of years ago. I was blown away by the
warm & friendly atmosphere at the concert.
I'd arrived feeling very self conscious
since I had dressed in medieval-style
clothes & wondered if I would be the only
one so dressed & thus feel a total idiot.
Well, I needn't have worried! As you know,
an awful lot of your fans dress up for your
performances. The audience seemed to range
from 10 to 70 years. There are few rock
venues where you know your child will be
welcomed & safe! From your website it is
also obvious how much you really care about
your fans which is wonderful & I think quite
unique. I have admired Ritchies' guitar
playing for many years & it was wonderful to
be able to hear him live.
I believe that you both shoot Longbow-so do
I. What a wonderful sport & great fun!
Congratulations also to you & Ritchie on
your recent marriage. The photos on the
internet are beautiful! May you have many
happy years together.

of my favorite singers, and I aspire to sing
as well as you do one day. I am such a huge
